Romelu Lukaku took to Twitter yesterday to answer a bunch of questions from supporters, after announcing that he’d be holding a Q&A session.
One of which was in regards to Saturday’s Merseyside derby win over Liverpool.
Lukaku’s former side recorded their first win at Anfield since 1999 thanks to goals from Richarlison and Gylfi Sigurdsson.
When asked if he’d watched the historic affair, the Inter Milan marksman posted the following response.
It’s good to see the Belgium international staying in touch with the Toffees supporters, despite leaving Goodison Park nearly four years ago.
It’s a shame that Lukaku couldn’t be a part of Carlo Ancelotti’s historic side, as a player of his standing more than deserved to be involved in such a moment.

The 27-year-old scored an impressive 87 goals in 166 games for the Toffees, while assisting 29 more following a £28 million move from Chelsea.
Sadly, he never helped Everton win at Anfield, although as aforesaid, with the sheer amount of goals he scored, he deserved at least one win there.

Just imagine Lukaku under Ancelotti’s guidance at Goodison Park, with Dominic Calvert-Lewin up top alongside him and James Rodriguez in behind.
That is a truly mouthwatering prospect, and also a trio who would’ve completely torn opponents apart.
