Speaking on the Fútbol podcast, RB Salzburg boss Jesse Marsch revealed that he thinks Arsenal target Dominik Szoboszlai will leave in January.

When asked if he thinks the attacking midfielder will leave in January, Marsch said: ‘Yes. The reality is that a guy like Szoboszlai is likely to have many suitors this winter. He’s an incredible talent.’

Football London have previously revealed that the Hungary international is on Mikel Arteta and Edu’s radar, and his form so far this season has been nothing short of sensational.

Szoboszlai has netted five goals in 13 appearances this season, while also assisting nine more strikes.

Away from club football, the 20-year-old also netted a superb solo-goal in the 92nd minute to send Hungary to EURO 2020 at the expense of Iceland.

The Budapest-born prodigy is bound to have plenty of suitors as a result of his fine form, which isn’t great news for Arsenal.

However, what would’ve been harder than fending off competition for Szoboszlai is getting RB Salzburg to place their asset on the market against their will in the first place.

In light of Marsch’s revelation, at least the Gunners can take encouragement from the fact the Austrian outfit seemed resigned to losing their prodigious talent.

What is also encouraging is that Szoboszlai doesn’t appear to be a flash in the pan.

Last season, when he was still a teenager, the attacker scored 12 goals and assisted 18 more in 40 appearances for RB Salzburg.
