Arsenal fans on Twitter have provided a mixed reaction after a report emerged linking them to Wolves hitman, Raul Jimenez.

French outlet Le10Sport has claimed that Arsenal have identified Jimenez as a potential signing this summer if they lose either of their experienced duo, Alexandre Lacazette or Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang.

The preference of the Arsenal fans would be to keep hold of their current forward players, but the club have to be prepared to react if they lose either of them when the transfer window re-opens.

As the report suggests, Aubameyang is out of contract in North London next summer and there is no clarity to his future, as for Lacazette, he is seemingly attracting interest from Serie A.

Either way, there are sections of the Arsenal support who feel that Jimenez would be a top-quality signing for them, but there are others who are pretty reluctant.

The Mexican international is one of Wolves’ top players and would, therefore, demand a pretty big fee if they had to part ways with him, but is it worth putting that sort of money on the table for a 29-year-old?

One thing is for sure, Jimenez would drastically improve Arsenal’s forward line and he would suit Mikel Arteta’s high-press and high energy system – whether he’s playing a back three or a 4-3-3.

Added with that, Jimenez has been one of the most underrated players in England’s top-flight this season – that has been proven by his 20 goals in all competitions, which also includes goals in Europa League football.

Nonetheless, here is a selection of Arsenal fans reacting to the Jimenez rumours:
