Tottenham Hotspur boss Jose Mourinho has hinted to Football London that Harry Kane and Carlos Vinicius could play alongside each other in the future.
Vinicius has generally always been considered Kane’s back-up, should the Tottenham striker get injured or suspended.
But Mourinho actually feels that there is a way that Tottenham could get both their senior strikers into the same team.
“Yes, I think they can,” he said. “It is not a situation that is happening for different reasons, but I think they can. They are completely different players, so yes they can play together.
With Kane dropping deep so often naturally, Tottenham’s best way to get him into the same side as Vinicius would surely be to deploy him as a number 10.
That change does not seem likely in the near future, but it may give Mourinho some food for thought, if Spurs attack does continue to look stifled.

At the moment the returning Dele Alli and Tanguy Ndombele are surely preferential options to have ahead of Kane in the attacking midfield slot, while Giovani Lo Celso should also be back sooner rather than later.
It means that Vinicius is most likely to have to sit on the bench and bide his time at Tottenham, with Kane back fit.
Vinicius could be required to start tonight though, when Spurs take on Everton
