Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has spoken of his delight about Jordan Henderson being back from injury and not suffering any issues after making his first appearance, at his latest press conference, which was broadcast on the club’s official website.

Henderson came off the bench for Liverpool at half-time against Brighton & Hove Albion, and he impressed in their 1-1 draw.

Henderson was only just returning from a fitness issue, which he picked up on the previous international break.

But Klopp confirmed at his press conference today that Henderson was now fully fit again, and would be available for Liverpool’s game against Ajax in the Champions League tomorrow night.

And when it was put to Klopp that the news of Henderson’s availability should be seen as a massive boost, as he showed just how valuable he is to Liverpool against Brighton, the German boss said: “Yeah I didn’t need that proof actually, but yes, it’s true. It’s very good news that Hendo is back.”

Henderson’s return has come a key time as the latest update on Thiago was not so promising.

Klopp suggested that his summer signing could be out for weeks yet, which leaves his options in midfield looking relatively short, with Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain also sidelined.
