Zinedine Zidane confirmed that the 22-year-old was fully fit to the Liverpool Echo yesterday, despite fears that he would miss the game.
Valverde has not been training this week, but it seems that he could feature later this evening against Jurgen Klopp’s side.
That just makes Liverpool’s task of progressing even tougher, as he will inject more energy into Madrid’s team.
And fans of the Spanish side are now starting to feel very confident of progressing.
Madrid supporters’ confident tweets could be a risk, given Liverpool’s famous history in the Champions League though.
While the Reds do go into the evening as underdogs to make it through, Liverpool have pulled off bigger comebacks than this before.
