Liverpool fans have been left delighted with the latest injury update on the Telegraph.
The report claims that Diogo Jota is set to return to full Liverpool training this week, and could return to play again in under two weeks’ time.
That would be a major boost to a Reds side who have been lacking a spark in attack for months now.
And Liverpool fans feel that Jota could still have an important role to play this season.
Jota may have joined Liverpool to be involved in a title challenge, but during his time on the sidelines Jurgen Klopp’s side have fallen away.
Klopp has already admitted that his side won’t be able to catch Manchester City this season, and their focus is now on making it into the top four.
As things stand Liverpool’s status as a Champions League club is no longer assured, as they are currently sat in sixth spot.
Liverpool have struggled badly for goals of late, with their attacking play looking stifled.
But Jota netted nine goals in his first 17 appearnaces for the Reds in the early part of the campaign and the hope is that his return will make Klopp’s side a force to be reckoned with once again.
