Noel Whelan has said on BBC Radio Leeds that Pablo Hernandez and Ezgjan Alioski will leave Leeds United at the end of the season.
The former Leeds striker, who now works as a pundit for BBC Radio Leeds, believes that attacking midfielder Hernandez and left-back Alioski will not be at the Premier League club next season.
Alioski, who can also operate as a winger, is out of contract at the West Yorkshire outfit in the summer of 2021.
As for Hernandez, who can also operate as a winger, he is not guaranteed a place in the starting lineup and is under contract at Leeds until the summer of 2022, according to Transfermarkt.co.uk.
Whelan said on BBC Radio Leeds: “There’s going to be an exodus, there’s going to be an exodus of players. Yes, absolutely. There will be about four or five that leave.
“You are looking at Hernandez. He is not getting a look-in. You are looking at Alioski. I don’t think he is going to sign a contract. Hernandez, he is going to be gone.”
Leaving Leeds United?
Alioski has not signed a new contract, and it remains to be seen if he puts pen to paper on a new deal.
The 29-year-old has been on the books of Leeds since 2017 and is an important player in the team.
According to WhoScored, the North Macedonia international has made 18 starts and seven substitute appearances in the Premier League for the Whites so far this season, scoring two goals in the process.
Hernandez – who missed the Premier League game against West Ham United on Monday due to injury along with Pascal Struijk, according to Marcelo Bielsa – has made two starts and 11 substitute appearances in the league for the Whites so far this season, providing two assists in the process, according to WhoScored.
The Spaniard is 35 years of age now, and it would not come as a surprise if Leeds decide to move him on at the end of the season.
