It looks like Leeds United might have Rodrigo back this weekend.
The struggling Whites are away to Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday afternoon.
Rodrigo sat out the defeat at Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday through injury.
But Leeds’ Twitter account posted a photo of the Spain attacker in training on Wednesday.
And here’s how some fans of the Elland Road club have reacted on Twitter:
Boost
Getting Rodrigo back would be a boost, yep.
But it wouldn’t be the boost.
Rodrigo isn’t top three of Leeds’ most important players.
You could argue that number one, at the moment, is Patrick Bamford.
The 28-year-old netted 17 Premier League goals in helping Marcelo Bielsa’s side to a ninth-placed finish last term.
This time around, he hasn’t played since September and it’s negatively affecting United.
Leeds are 17th in the Premier League after winning only two of their first 12 games this season.
Only two points separates them from the relegation zone.
As talented as Rodrigo is, he isn’t a goalscorer – not like Bamford is a goalscorer.
Goals and goals alone will propel Leeds up the table and that means Bamford’s return is much bigger than the Spaniard’s.
