Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka will reportedly be dropped for England’s Euro 2020 final with Italy tonight.
The Three Lions could win their first major tournament for over 50 years as they prepare to take on Roberto Mancini’s side.
The Arsenal star has been a big player for Gareth Southgate in recent games and provided a brilliant assist for their equaliser against Denmark in Wednesday’s semi-final victory.
But The Telegraph has reported that the Gunners starlet will be axed from the first XI in favour of former Tottenham Hotspur right-back Kieran Trippier.
Here’s how some fans reacted on Twitter:
Risk
If true, it’s a huge risk from Southgate.
If it isn’t broke then don’t fix it and with Saka in the first XI, England have been playing very well.
But it seems like Southgate will be placing more emphasis on the defence, even though his troops have conceded only one goal in the competition so far – and that was against the Danes.
