Celtic winger can’t stop scoring.
While Harry Redknapp was entertaining in the celebrity jungle last night on TV, James Forrest was scoring a hat-trick for Scotland.
The two have moved in different directions since 2011, when Redknapp showed an interest in signing Forrest for Tottenham Hotspur.
Redknapp acknowledged his interest in the Celtic ace at the time [via BBC Sport]
He later added in 2014, via the Scottish Herald: “My chief scout liked the lad Forrest when I was at Tottenham and he drove me mad to sign him.”
It has taken a long while for Forrest to fulfil his potential and staying at Celtic was the right move.
At present he is in the form of his life. Perhaps it is time for Tottenham’s current management to take a fresh look?
Forrest has now scored more goals for club and country than any player in Europe since the start of October.
He has 12 goals for Celtic and Scotland, and at 27-years-old is approaching his peak.
If ever he was going to clinch a big move to the Premier League, now is the moment.
