Yaya Toure’s agent has revealed that he is not aware of a new contract being offered to the midfielder. In fact, he has not heard anything from Manchester City for two months.
The former Barcelona midfielder’s contract runs out at the end of the season, and he is yet to agree to a new one-year contract extension.
There have been reports (The Guardian) that he will be offered a new deal, but according to Dimitri Seluk, Toure’s agent, he has not received any such signal from the club hierarchy.
Seluk says that Toure, who has spent seven years at the Manchester club, will find it hard to reject a deal if he is offered one.
He also adds that Toure has ‘interesting’ offers from different clubs, but he would find it difficult to leave City.

We have not heard anything,” Seluk said, as quoted by Sky Sports. “I read a lot of stories about a new City contract but I know nothing about this. The last time I spoke to anyone at City was in Monaco in March.
“We have many possibilities. Yaya already has offers from different clubs. They are very interesting offers.
“There are clubs who have already qualified for next season’s Champions League, but for Yaya, Manchester City is a very special club. He has given his heart to the club and he would find it difficult to leave City.”
Toure appeared to be on his way out of the club having not played a Premier league game under Pep Guardiola till mid-November.
However, the Ivorian made full use of the opportunity after Ilkay Gundogan got injured and has gone on to make 30 appearances for the club.
According to reports from Sky Sports, Toure has been linked with a host of Premier League clubs like Crystal Palace, West Ham United, Newcastle United and Brighton.
The Telegraph reported last week that West Ham are considering making Toure one of their major singings in the summer transfer window, but the player’s agent has confirmed that he has heard nothing from the Hammers as yet.
Newcastle United are also reportedly (The Sun) tracking him as well, but any potential deal will depend on whether Toure takes a pay-cut or not.
