New Everton star Yannick Bolasie has shared with the club’s official website the advice he has given defender Mason Holgate.
Bolasie is a new arrival at Everton, having arrived in a big money move from Crystal Palace last week.
He was handed his debut in the win over West Bromwich Albion on Saturday, a game that saw him partnered alongside youngster Mason Holgate on the right hand side of the Blues team.

Holgate is the latest young defender to break into their first team, with many hoping he can replicate the development that John Stones enjoyed at Goodison Park.
He has certainly impressed in their two games so far, and Bolasie says he has been giving him advice to help him progress.
“I’ve played against Mason in training and I was giving him some tips,” he told the club’s official website.
“I was explaining that you don’t want to go to ground unless you have to. I thought Mason did well against the two wingers that he faced against West Brom and it was a good performance from him.”

It will certainly be interesting to follow Holgate’s development at Everton in the years to come.
He is clearly very highly rated by Ronald Koeman, who has so far shown no hesitation in putting him into the first team.
Indeed the Dutchman may be the perfect manager for the youngster to work under given his reputation as one of the world’s best centre backs during his playing days.
