The performance of Chelsea youngster Lewis Baker for the England Under-21 side earlier this week impressed Yannick Bolasie.

Baker featured for the England U-21s against their Poland counterparts on Thursday.

The 22-year-old midfielder started the European Under-21 Championship Group A game and played for the entire 90 minutes.

The Chelsea youngster scored from the penalty spot in the 82nd minute to guide England to a 3-0 victory.

Bolasie, who joined Everton from Crystal Palace in the summer of 2016 for a transfer fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £25 million, was following the match, and he was impressed with Baker.

Baker is a talented and promising young midfielder, and the 22-year-old could develop into a very good footballer in the coming years.

The problem that the England Under-21 international could face at Chelsea is competition for places in the team.

The Englishman has yet to make his Premier League debut for the London club, and was loan at Dutch side Vitesse for the past two seasons.
