The duo only played together at Everton briefly…
Everton winger Yannick Bolasie has sent a touching message to former teammate Romelu Lukaku after the striker clinched his transfer to Manchester United.
The Red Devils announced his big money signing yesterday, beginning a new chapter in the 24-year-old’s career.
Everton’s Yannick Bolasie celebrates scoring their first goal with Romelu Lukaku
Bolasie signed for Everton last summer and only played with Lukaku briefly before suffering a serious injury mid-season, but struck up a strong friendship with the Belgian.
He sent a message on Twitter to the striker expressing his best wishes.
He also included a little playful jab, after an Irish newspaper published a photo of musician Stormzy instead of Romelu Lukaku on it’s back page.
The new Manchester United striker was quick to respond to thank Bolasie.
Bolasie faces a reset season this coming campaign as he looks to bounce back from the knee injury which ruined his debut season at Goodison Park.
When he returns he will have several new teammates to strike up a connection with, including Wayne Rooney.
