Everton are through to the fourth round of the Carabao Cup after smashing Fleetwood Town 5-2 on Wednesday evening.

The Toffees have started the Premier League campaign with two wins, and having beaten Salford City in the last round of the Carabao Cup, it was on to Fleetwood for Carlo Ancelotti’s side.

Richarlison had Everton 2-0 up, but an error from Jordan Pickford allowed Mark Duffy to pull the League One side back into the game.

Alex Iwobi restored the two-goal lead, only for Callum Camps to again bring Fleetwood back into it – but Bernard and Moise Kean finished off the scoring to make it 5-2.

Richarlison’s brace was a highlight, but left back Niels Nkounkou produced the finest moment of the game with a stunning assist for Kean.

The French defender bombed up the left flank, and when he got to the byline, he pulled off a beautiful backheel flick to find Kean in front of goal.

Nkounkou, a summer signing from Marseille, impressed in pre-season and continues to show that he is ready to be backup for Lucas Digne despite being just 19.

Everton winger Yannick Bolasie took to Twitter to rave about Nkounkou’s nonchalant assist, telling him to ‘stop that’ whilst also praising striker Kean for finishing off the chance.
