Everton winger Yannick Bolasie has taken to Twitter to offer his reaction to their 1-1 draw with Manchester United on Tuesday night.

The Toffees travelled to Old Trafford on Tuesday evening as they looked to respond having lost 3-1 to Merseyside rivals Liverpool on Saturday afternoon.

Ronald Koeman’s men were looking to take advantage of frustration in the United ranks following their 0-0 draw with West Bromwich Albion on Saturday, and they did just that as Phil Jagielka put Everton in front in the first half.

Everton fought and battled throughout, and were so close to claiming a 1-0 victory, only for Ashley Williams to handball Luke Shaw’s goalbound effort, handing United an injury-time penalty – and handing Williams a red card.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic converted the penalty to rescue a point for United, and leave Everton to go back to Merseyside with a point and thoughts of what could have been.

After the game, injured winger Yannick Bolasie – who has been out since suffering a major knee injury in Everton’s last encounter with Manchester United back in December – took to Twitter to offer his reaction.

With Everton suffering a heartbreaking late equaliser, Bolasie praised his team-mates for a strong performance, noting that they were unlucky not to claim all three points having been in front for so long.
