Yannick Bolasie has admitted that he was pleased to get off the mark for Everton, but he was not happy with their result against Burnley.
Bolasie netted his first ever goal for the Toffees, following the summer transfer from Crystal Palace, at Turf Moor.
However, the wide-man’s strike counted for little, as Everton slipped to a 2-1 defeat against Sean Dyche’s resilient side.
And Bolasie admits that his joy at scoring for the Toffees was tarnished slightly because of the defeat.
Everton had fallen behind in the match when Sam Vokes scored for Burnley, but Bolasie fired home an equaliser to get his side back on level terms.
Bolasie showed great confidence to score, by forcing Romelu Lukaku out of the way before firing beyond Tom Heaton.
Everton had the momentum after Bolasie hit the back of the net, but they were unable to make their dominance pay and Scott Arfield fired in a late winner for Burnley.
Everton have now failed to win any of their last five matches, and they have slipped down to sixth place in the Premier League table.
