Everton have offloaded winger Yannick Bolasie to Sporting.

Everton had no plans to use Yannick Bolasie in their first team this season, but it looked like he would be stuck on the sidelines at Goodison Park.
Bolasie was a big-money signing for the Toffees back in 2016, as Steve Walsh splashed the cash to lure him away from Crystal Palace.
After showing some initial promise, Bolasie suffered a major knee injury in December 2016, and has never really managed to get back to his best since.
The 30-year-old spent last season out on loan, firstly with Aston Villa before heading to Belgium with Anderlecht, where he hit an impressive six goals and three assists in 17 games.
That at least put Bolasie back in the shop window, but there appeared to be few suitors for him as Monday’s transfer deadline drew ever closer.
Bolasie even took to Twitter on Sunday to suggest that people were ‘playing with his career like Lego’ as Everton beat Wolves 3-2, without Bolasie being involved in the squad.

Late last night, with the European deadline fast approaching, Everton did finalise Bolasie’s exit, sending him on loan to Sporting in Portugal for the season.
Bolasie now heads to play for Marco Silva’s former club, and the DR Congo star has taken to Twitter to thank both clubs for coming to an agreement to let him play first-team football this season rather than sit around at Everton.
