Everton ace Yannick Bolasie has been sidelined for more than a year after suffering a long-term knee injury.
Everton winger Yannick Bolasie has posted an upbeat message to Toffees fans on Instagram as his time on the sidelines with a long-term knee injury surpasses a year.
The 28-year-old has been out injured after rupturing his anterior cruciate ligament during the 1-1 draw against Manchester United at Goodison Park in November 2016, following a tackle with United attacker Anthony Martial.
However, the former Crystal Palace and Bristol City trickster returned to training in November and the £25million signing in the summer of 2016 could have his sights first-team return could be on the cards early in the new year.
Posting on Instagram, DR Congo international Bolasie stated that he is “back on his feet” and is “feeling good”, as he continues his recovery back to full fitness.
Before his injury, Bolasie had had an instant impact at Goodison Park, instantly recognised as Everton’s most inlfuential source of creativity in the final third with four assists in 14 Premier League outings.
Bolasie is likely to watch from the stands as Everton take on Sunday afternoon as they face bitter Merseyside rivals Liverpool, with the small matter of facing Apollon Limassol in the Europa League on Thursday afternoon in what is a dead rubber.
