Yannick Bolasie has not played for Everton since December because of a knee injury.
Yannick Bolasie has told Sky Sports that he will report to Everton training next week for further tests on the injury that his kept him out for 11 months already.
The 28-year-old has not played since damaging knee ligaments against Manchester United last December.
Bolasie will be at Everton’s Finch Farm training complex on Monday to rejoin his teammates, but is wary about rushing back to action before he can do himself justice.
“I haven’t set a date yet for that return. I can’t really say right now,” Bolasie is quoted by Sky Sports as saying.
“I’m back in on Monday at Everton. I’m probably going to be integrated with the team then, but comeback I don’t know.
“I want to make sure I’m feeling good. It’s not just my name on my shirt on the pitch; I want to make sure it’s me.”
Sacked Everton manager Ronald Koeman signed the Congolese winger from Crystal Palace for £25m in his first summer at Goodison Park – fee according to Sky Sports.
The Dutchman would have loved to have had Bolasie at his disposal at the start of this season, as his team were completely devoid of the pace and width he offers.
With Bolasie cautious about a potential return date, David Unsworth is unlikely to be able to call on the flying winger either as he aims to secure the job on a permanent basis.
