Yannick Bolasie has not played for Everton since December, after damaging his cruciate ligament.
Yannick Bolasie has told ESPN that he believes he can be like a new signing for Everton next season.
Bolasie arrived at Everton last summer from Crystal Palace, and made a bright start at Goodison Park.
However, the winger ruptured his cruciate ligament back in December and has been out ever since.
Bolasie will not play for Everton again this season, and is likely to miss the start of next term too.
But the Congolese international is still optimistic of making an impact at the Toffees next season, when he hopes to be playing Europa League football.
“My dream was always to get Everton to Europe but the team are doing it right now and it’s looking like we might be in Europe next season,” he said. “Hopefully, I can come back and be like a new signing.”
Bolasie was Everton’s most expensive signing last summer, and he had claimed four assists and a goal in his first 14 appearances for the Toffees.
When Bolasie does return he is expected to be handed a key role at Goodison Park once again – with Ronald Koeman known to be a big fan of the winger.
Bolasie’s Everton teammates will be taking on Burnley this weekend, with Koeman’s side knowing that three points would strengthen their claim for a European spot.
