Yannick Bolasie has given his take on Twitter on decisions on Arsenal defender David Luiz and Jan Bednarek of Southampton.
Arsenal have announced on their official website that the red card given to Luiz against Wolverhampton Wanderers will stand.
The Brazilian central defender was sent off for clipping Wolves striker Willian Jose inside the box.
Replays suggested that it was an accident, but the FA have stated that the red card will not be overturned.
As reported by BBC Sport, Southampton have been successful in their quest to have Bednarek’s red card against Manchester United rescinded.
Bednarek was adjudged to have committed a foul Anthony Martial in the Saints’ Premier League game against Manchester United.
Bolasie – who joined Everton from Crystal Palace in the summer of 2016 for a transfer fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £25 million and is now on loan at Middlesbrough in the Championship – seems bemused why Luiz’s red card was not overturned and Bednarek’s was.
Arsenal lost 2-1 to Wolves away from home, while Southampton were hammered 9-0 by Manchester United at Old Trafford.
Luiz will miss Arsenal’s next Premier League game, which is against Bolasie’s former loan club Aston Villa this weekend.
