Turkish manager Yalcin Kosukavak has told Ajansspor that his former player Zeki Celik is wanted by Tottenham Hotspur.
Kosukavak coached Celik at Istanbulspor, where his impressive performances earned him a big move to Lille.
Now, Kosukavak claims the has spoken to Celik about his future, and the right back claims that Sevilla and Tottenham both want to sign him.
Kosukavak adds that there is a specific fee that Lille want for Celik, and as long as that fee is met, then he will be allowed to move on.
“When I spoke with Zeki, he said that Sevilla and Tottenham want him,” said Kosukavak. “For Zeki, there is a fee Lille wants. If this fee is met, Zeki can leave Lille,” he added.
This seems pretty reliable given that Kosukavak worked with Celik at Istanbulspor, but would Tottenham still be keen on him now?
Spurs landed one right back in August as Matt Doherty joined from Wolverhampton Wanderers, meaning Celik may not be a prime target right now.

The Times reported in August that Spurs were keen to sign Celik, in a deal that would allow Serge Aurier to move on.
Aurier is still a wanted man, so it may well be that Celik is still being viewed as his replacement should a late deal go through before Monday’s transfer deadline.
Celik, 23, worked with Tottenham assistant Joao Sacramento at Lille, so Spurs’ interest does make some sense – but any late move surely depends on Aurier.
