Tottenham Hotspur’s Under-18’s were in FA Youth Cup action on Wednesday night, and claimed a 3-0 win over AFC Wimbledon.

With the international break coming to an end, fans are staring to look towards Premier League action returning – but Spurs did have their young prospects playing on Wednesday night.

A place in the fifth round of the FA Youth Cup was up for grabs, and Spurs claimed a strong victory – but only after extra time.

A 0-0 draw saw the game head into extra time, and young striker Jamie Donley stole the show with a brace, whilst Romaine Mundle also found the net.

Spurs go through with a 3-0 win, and Donley will be delighted with his brace given that he is actually an Under-16 player yet made a big impact for the Under-18’s.

Donley could soon end up joining the likes of Dane Scarlett, Kion Etete and Troy Parrott as being Tottenham’s hot prospects for the future in attack, with the 16-year-old now on the radar for Spurs fans.

On Tottenham’s official website though, it was midfielder Yago Santiago who earned real praise, with the report claiming that he caused problems for Wimbledon down the left flank having been brought on as a substitute.

The Spaniard has been tipped for a bright future, and was praised for weaving past defenders and creating in the final third, but Spurs couldn’t take advantage.

Still, the former Celta Vigo talent will hope to kick on and emerge up the ranks in the coming years, possibly with Donley following him.
