The Bournemouth manager is the latest to be linked to the hotseat at the Emirates Stadium in the event of Arsene Wenger’s departure.
Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe
Brian Deane is adamant that Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe will never replace Arsene Wenger at Arsenal, according to the Evening Standard.
Howe is the latest name to be linked to the top job at the Emirates Stadium to replace current incumbent Wenger, whose contract expires at the end of the season.
The 38-year-old has earned a reputation as one of the country’s brightest managerial talents, guiding his hometown side to the Premier League last year and consolidating their place in the top flight.

But former Premier League striker Deane believes the chances of Arsenal appointing Howe are minimal, saying it would not make great commercial sense for the club in the long term.
“I was happy that candidates for the England job included Steve Bruce, Alan Pardew and Eddie Howe,” he told the Evening Standard.
“That’s how it should be and as English players, you need a manager who understands their culture.
“There have also been rumours that managers such as Howe have been earmarked for grander positions at Arsenal but let’s be real, he’s not going to get that job – it’s not a commercially wise decision.

“[Manchester] United are dictated by share prices so if they hire a relatively low-profile manager, their shares will fall.
“They then hire Mourinho and those share prices increase.”
Howe himself has distanced himself from all rumours linking him to the Arsenal job, declaring his commitment to shaping Bournemouth for the future.
Whether Howe is ready to take over the helms at one of the Premier League’s giants remains to be seen but, with Wenger said to be a fan of Howe, it is likely that the latter’will be earmarked as a potential successor when Wenger decides to leave.
