Aston Villa owner Tony Xia has taken to Twitter in order to reassure fans that left back Jordan Amavi will not be sold this summer.
Villa suffered relegation to the Championship at the end of last season, and new manager Roberto Di Matteo has added the likes of Pierluigi Gollini, Tommy Elphick and Aaron Tshibola to his squad.

Now though, speculation surrounds the future of a current Villa star, who is attracting interest from one of the Premier League’s biggest clubs.
As noted by Get French Football News, Liverpool are allegedly keen to offer Villa left back Jordan Amavi an instant return to the top flight this summer.

The Reds are looking for a new left back to offer some competition for Alberto Moreno, and it’s believed that Amavi is on Jurgen Klopp’s radar as a possible target.
22-year-old Amavi signed for Villa last summer having impressed with Nice, and whilst he enjoyed a promising start to life in the Premier League, he suffered a season-ending knee injury in November 2015.

Villa fans still don’t want to lose the Frenchman though, and have been pleading with owner Tony Xia on Twitter not to sell the player this summer, despite the possibility of a move to Anfield.
Xia responded by promising that neither Amavi nor Jordan Ayew will be leaving the club this summer, meaning any move to Merseyside would be a huge surprise for Amavi now.
