The Mirror are reporting tonight that Liverpool are now actively looking to sell Xherdan Shaqiri in the summer transfer window.
The report published at 8:20pm tonight has claimed that Shaqiri is ‘deemed surplus to requirements’.
It has been further added that Liverpool are now ‘actively looking to sell’ the Switzerland international midfielder.
On July 3, The Liverpool Echo reported that Liverpool are not actively looking to sell the former Inter Milan and Bayern Munich winger.
However, the report added that the Merseyside club are open to offers for the 29-year-old and will want at least £13 million.

Sensible stance?
Yes, Shaqiri has won the Premier League and the Champions League with Liverpool, but the winger has been a squad player at the Reds.
The winger joined the Reds from Stoke City in 2018 and has struggled to play regularly for the past three years.
It would make sense for Liverpool to cash in on the Swiss now and get some decent transfer fee in.
As for the former Basel star himself, it would make sense for him to find a new club.
After all, theoretically Xhaqiri is at the top of his game now, and he has so much more to offer.
