Arsenal left-back Kieran Tierney has praised his teammate Granit Xhaka on Instagram.
Tierney was impressed by the display produced by Xhaka during Switzerland’s win against France in the Round of 16 at Euro 2020, and wrote: “Class bro”.
The Switzerland international helped his side to a penalty shootout victory over the French on Monday evening to book their place in the quarter-finals.
How did Granit Xhaka play?
Xhaka was absolutely brilliant for Switzerland.
The midfielder imposed himself in the middle of the park, controlled the game well, sprayed some lovely passes and drove the team forward.
The 28-year-old also provided the assist for the third goal that Switzerland scored in normal time.
The midfielder took one shot which was not on target, played three key passes, had a pass accuracy of 92%, won two headers, took 102 touches, and made two tackles, three interceptions and one clearance.

Xhaka was a regular for Arsenal last season, but the former Basel star has still been linked with a move away.
La Gazzetta dello Sport (print edition, page 12, June 12, 2021) has claimed that Xhaka has an agreement with Arsenal to let him leave if they get a suitable offer.
AS Roma, now under the management of former Tottenham Hotspur boss Jose Mourinho, reportedly want to sign the 28-year-old.
