Arsenal’s biggest summer signing so far has quickly settled into life at his new home, with help from Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka has revealed to Arsenal Player that Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain was the first Gunner to offer him a hand should he need anything after arriving in England following his move from Borussia Monchengladbach.
The Swiss international midfielder joined the Gunners for a fee for over £30 million in late May, becoming Arsenal’s biggest signing of the summer to date, with few other arrivals other than Rob Holding and Takuma Asano.
He made his league debut from the bench during Arsenal’s opening day defeat, before starting their 0-0 draw at the King Power against Premier League champions Leicester last weekend, where he impressed at the heart of midfield.

And his first few months at Arsenal have flown by, helped by the support he’s been given by some of his Gunners teammates, and one man in particular.
“Many players have offered me help in case I need something. They told me to be open and frank, and I have been very well received. It is very important for me to feel that the players are on my side.
“Maybe about one or two days before I flew here, I had a chat with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. He told me that if I needed something, I should just shout. But he was not the only one.”

Chamberlain has sought to reassert himself at Arsenal after appearing intermittently last season, and missing out on the England squad for Euro 2016.
Injuries have not helped his cause, having suffered with a thigh muscle rupture, a knee injury and a further medial ligament injury over the course of last season.
But he is back fighting fit for now, and he, like Xhaka, will be determined to stamp his name on the Arsenal first eleven.
