Former Barcelona star Xavi has told Everton they should be dreaming of the Champions League under Ronald Koeman, in quotes to the Mirror.
The Dutchman took charge at Goodison Park this summer as the Blues prised him away from Southampton.
He was brought to Merseyside as the replacement for Roberto Martinez, who had led the side to 11th placed finishes in the last two seasons.
He has enjoyed a strong start to life at the club with his team currently sitting fifth in the table after seven games.

It has sparked optimism among the club’s fans and Xavi believes they should be dreaming of Champions League football under the Dutch legend.
“Under Koeman, Everton are playing at a level where they will have the confidence that they can go and get a result anywhere,” he told the Mirror.
“Last season in England showed anything can happen, and Everton should believe they can finish in a Champions League place because they can.”

It remains to be seen if Everton can compete for a Champions League place this season.
In all honesty, it is hard to see them doing so, with several other teams better equipped for the fight than they are at this moment in time.
Much will rest on the form of Romelu Lukaku. If they can get him firing as they did last season then they could certainly find themselves in the mix for the top six at least.
