Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Xavi Simons has explained when a decision will be made on his future in France.

Dutch midfielder Xavi Simons has yet to make his breakthrough for the Paris Saint-Germain first team but certainly did well during a season long loan at German giants RB Leipzig.

Last season, Simons scored eight goals and provided 11 assists in the Bundesliga and a further two goals and two assists in the Champions League.

This has led to a lot of interest in the 21-year-old with HITC reporting that Manchester United like the attacking midfielder and would even consider a loan deal for the Dutchman.

Simons tight lipped over Paris Saint Germain future

After Holland’s 0-0 draw against France in their second game of the European Championships in Germany, the midfielder has been quoted on his future at the Parc Des Princes.

“I was happy in Paris,” Simons said as per French journalist JS Grond-Tran. “I was in Leipzig this year, we’ll see after the Euro. I also see that the supporters me always wish the best and that’s good.”

Leipzig would like the chance to keep him on loan for the next campaign, but Simons’ future is yet to be resolved at his current club PSG.

For Paris Saint-Germain, the French giants would indeed be happy to allow the Dutchman to leave on another loan deal if that is indeed what the 21-year-old wants this summer.

Multiple top clubs keen on Simons

United are not the only side who are keen on the attacking midfielder as HITC understands that Barcelona are also interested in Simons.

Simons was previously at Barcelona’s famed youth academy and is understood to be keen on a return to the club but the Spanish giants current priorities are understood to be keeping Joao Felix and signing Euro 2024 wonderkid Nico Williams from Athletic Bilbao.

Williams has been one of the standout stars so far in the Euros and the winger is prioritising a move to Barcelona but HITC has reported that multiple Premier League clubs are keen on the winger.
