Wyndham Clark finally returned to the PGA Tour winners’ circle at the CJ CUP Byron Nelson two weeks ago.
Before his victory at TPC Craig Ranch, Clark had not won on the PGA Tour since February 2024.
So the 32-year-old’s victory in McKinney, Texas, was a very welcome one indeed.
Wyndham Clark dominated the CJ CUP Byron Nelson in the end, after shooting an incredible 60 on Sunday to pip Si Woo Kim to the title by three shots.

The 2023 U.S. Open champion is now a four-time PGA Tour winner, and with his confidence well and truly back, he will be hopeful of adding more titles to his tally in 2026.
Wyndham Clark withdrew from the Charles Schwab after his CJ CUP win, so he should be refreshed and raring to go this week at The Memorial.
Wyndham Clark reveals what he told his ex-caddie after CJ CUP win
Clark parted ways with his former caddie, John Ellis, in mid-March, after a decade-long partnership.
“We both agreed that a little change up could be the difference for me to get back to playing some good golf,” Clark said at the time.
The 32-year-old replaced Ellis, a long-term friend, with Dave Pelekoudas – the former caddie of Xander Schauffele.
After Clark won the CJ CUP at TPC Craig Ranch, he saw Ellis waiting behind the 18th green.
And now he has revealed what he said to him. During his press conference ahead of The Memorial this week, Clark responded when asked who he was speaking to behind the 18th green following his win at TPC Craig Ranch.

“Yeah, actually I think that was to my caddie, ex-caddie John, which was awesome that he was there,“ he said.
“But he and I are still such, I mean we’re such good friends, and it’s been a really hard year and a half for both of us. And that’s kind of why when I saw him I said, ‘Finally’, and he knew what I meant, just because we’ve had so much frustration.
“And to finally have success and just something good happen in golf, it just was, yeah, like you said, it was relief.
“More than anything it was just a relief. And I would say, of all the wins I’ve had, that was probably the most excited I’ve been. Just pure joy that I finally did it, I’m back in the winners’ circle, I feel like I’m maybe myself again, which is really nice.“
Wyndham Clark opens up on his driver issue
Despite his fine performance at TPC Craig Ranch, Clark was still not entirely happy with the way that he was driving the golf ball.
“So all my equipment is dialed in other than I would say my driver was spinning a lot that week,“ he admitted.
“So I was averaging spin of around 3100. And as most people know, that’s a little high on the spin side. So I was hitting it really straight at Byron, but I was just spinning it too much.
“I wanted to get here and just knock off about 400 RPMs, which would come out to be almost, you know, 8 to 10 yards, which would gain back my advantage of hitting it far.
“So that’s really what we were doing.“
If Wyndham Clark starts driving the ball even longer and straighter as a result of dialing down the spin, he could be in for a seriously impressive season.
