Gareth Ainsworth told his pre-match press conference ahead of Wycombe’s FA Cup tie with Tottenham that Jose Mourinho is ‘different’.
Ainsworth thinks for that reason the outspoken Tottenham boss ‘scares people’ because ‘people want the norm’ and he feels he can relate to the three-time Premier League winner in terms of character.
Championship side Wycombe take on the Premier League title challengers on Monday night in a potential banana skin tie for Spurs.
Ainsworth heaped praise on what Mourinho has done in his career and shared that he is a ‘big fan’ of the Portuguese boss.
“Jose Mourinho is a winner, he wants to win trophies,” said Ainsworth. “I am a massive fan of him because he’s a winner. He wins things.
“He wins titles in various countries. He wins cups and that’s what football management is all about. But I think he’s different. I can relate to that slightly.
“I think Mourinho is different and that scares people. People want the norm.”

Well, Mourinho will be hoping to add more trophies to his cabinet with Tottenham this season and he has a prime chance to do so in the FA Cup.
The North London outfit are already in the League Cup final and if Mourinho can lift silverware then it will be one of the stories of the season.
The FA Cup draw has been kind on Spurs, so far, and it is set up for them to go deep into this competition also.
