Going to a WWE event means accepting you are going to get both the heel and face characters doing all they can to incite a reaction from the audience.

Some of the greatest heels in history have been experts at doing this, both in terms of shows that go on television and in ‘House Shows’ – now known as WWE Live events.

Still, there can be times when the crowd can feel things get almost too real.

And over in Italy this weekend, WWE superstar Solo Sikoa has risked doing just that with the passionate WWE fanbase over in Italy.

Solo Sikoa disrespects Italy during WWE Live event

Solo Sikoa has been one of the funniest and best heels in WWE in a long time.

While some might argue he hasn’t quite peaked and reached the very very top like some suggested he might, the fact he remains on WWE television every week and has elevated yet more members of the Bloodline speaks for itself.

Furthermore, Solo is also known as a key worker for WWE Live events but over in Italy, he might have just overstepped the mark a touch.

In a clip doing the rounds on the popular WrestleFeed account on X, Solo can be seen wiping both his shoes and his backside with the Italian flag, much to the annoyance of the Italian crowd.

Still, this was much better received than what we’ve seen in the past and Solo is unlikely to face the sort of action that Chris Jericho did in Brazil.

Harping back to 2012, Jericho was famously suspended by WWE after disrespecting the South American nation during a house show.

In fact, things got so serious that Brazilian police got involved on the night and effectively insisted Jericho apologise or be arrested.

Jericho explained at the time it was all part of his heel persona in the ring but nevertheless, he still received a 30 day ban from WWE to prove a point.

Solo, then, might not face the same punishment but it’s clear as ever that WWE heels still love to get inside the crowd’s heads.
