Chelsea fans took to Twitter after Cesc Fabregas scored a brace in extra time to send them through to the fifth round of the EFL Cup after beating Leicester 4-2

Chelsea beat Leicester City 4-2 in extra time in the EFL Cup third round earlier this week after two goals from Cesc Fabregas settled the tie.
The brace from the Spanish midfielder came in the space of two minutes in extra time, after Chelsea had fought back from 2-0 down in the first half.
It was an enthralling game that saw both sides have a number of chances and also saw Claudio Ranieri’s Leicester side reduced to ten men after Marcin Wasilewski was sent off.

Despite early pressure from Chelsea, the Foxes raced into an early lead with Shinji Okazaki scoring twice inside the opening 34 minutes with two well taken goals.
But Gary Cahill gave Antonio Conte’s side hope of a comeback on the stroke of half-time as his goal pulled Chelsea back from the brink.

As Chelsea came out for the second half there was a renewed belief about their play and hope that the equaliser would come, and come it did in spectacular style.
On 49 minutes Cesar Azpilicueta equalised with a stunning long-range effort to make it 2-2 as Chelsea sought to put the tie to bed, but despite both teams having chances to win the match neither could find the winner.

But in the 89th minute the match took a turn for the worse for Leicester as Wasilewski was sent off for a second bookable offence as the clocked ticked down in normal time.
With a man advantage in extra time, Conte’s side seized the initiative and it was left for the 29-year-old Fabregas to seal Chelsea’s progress into the next round of the competition.
