Kieran Tierney has been encouraged to leave Arsenal after being snubbed by Mikel Arteta this afternoon.
The Scotland international scored the only goal in midweek as Arteta’s side edged out Zurich in the Europa League.
That goal, combined with the fact Oleksandr Zinchenko hadn’t played for over a month, meant that Tierney probably fanced himself a spot in the first XI today for Arsenal’s visit of Chelsea.
However, Arteta turned to the Ukraine international once again, despite his lack of match fitness compared to the former Celtic defender’s.
And writing on Twitter, Emmanuel Frimpong claims the ‘writing is on the wall’ for him now.

Honestly, this isn’t a bad shout.
Tierney replaced Zinchenko late on but in recent weeks the 25-year-old has even found himself behind Takehiro Tomiyasu.
And when a right-back is playing ahead of you at left-back, well that isn’t a great source of optimism, it has to be said.
Whether Tierney considers his future or not remains to be seen but honestly, he definitely should.
