Claudio Ranieri has clearly had enough of all the transfer talk regarding Radamel Falcao.
It has been a slightly bizarre season so far for Colombian goal-machine Radamel Falcao.
He arrived at AS Monaco in the summer for a whopping fee, believed to be in the region of €60 million, and he started with a bang.
However the player is reportedly unhappy at the club with tax laws and the quality of Ligue 1 said to be upsetting him.
It has seen him linked with several moves away recently – including to Chelsea.
The Blues are struggling with their strikers at the moment – mainly because they simply cannot find the back of the net.
Fernando Torres, Samuel Eto’o and Demba Ba have all got their faults this term – while Romelu Lukaku is at Everton trailblazing his way through the Premier League goalscoring charts.
The rhetoric from Monaco has been simple and clear – the Colombian is not for sale.
But that has not stopped Falcao being continuously linked with moves away from Monaco in the winter. The player himself has remained pretty tight-lipped on the matter – but the thought of him leaving just six months onto a massive deal like this is a little far-fetched.
And it seems Claudio Ranieri has had enough of it all.
The former Chelsea boss, now the manager at Monaco, has won plaudits for not treating his new mega-money players with any more respect or restraint than the rest of the team and he recently dropped Falcao after a spell of indifferent form – which obviously fanned the flames of a potential exit.
Today though, the questioning finally got to the usually tame Italian – who snapped back at the French press:
“Even if I say ‘No, there is no problem with Falcao,’ you write yes, so write what you want …
