Everton decided to part company with manager Ronald Koeman on Monday.
Sean Dyche.
Ian Wright is adamant that fulfilling the managerial vacancy at Everton is the next step in Burnley manager Sean Dyche’s prospering career from the dugout.
Sitting in a lowly 18th place in the Premier League and with just two league wins all season, Everton’s hierarchy opted to sack Ronald Koeman after 16 months in charge at Goodison Park.
The Daily Mail reported Dyche as the “overwhelming favourite” to become Koeman’s successor on Merseyside, and Wright believes he would be the ideal candidate for both Everton, and for himself.

Wright was quoted by BBC Radio 5 Live’s Twitter account as saying that the 46-year-old boss would help Everton kick on, if owner Farhad Moshiri’s money was spent wisely.
The former Arsenal and England striker also claimed that Dyche had taken Burnley as far as they can go, and that a move to Everton is simply progression in terms of the former Watford manager’s career.
Farhad Moshiri.
“It’s the next step for him,” Wright said. “I don’t want to disrespect Burnley or anything that he has done there, what he is doing there is brilliant; but I’m not sure what more he can do.
“People say you can win the FA Cup, but at Everton with Moshiri, they could probably kick on again if he is willing to put that kind of money in.
“You can’t tell me that Everton are the kind of club Sean Dyche would not be thinking about? He would adapt to the players he’s got.”

Koeman finally received his marching orders after losing 5-2 to Arsenal on Sunday at Goodison Park, despite fielding a number of summer signings including Jordan Pickford, Michael Keane and Wayne Rooney.
With the Toffees’ Europa league campaign also hanging in the balance after losses to Lyon and Atalanta, whoever succeeds Koeman must hit the ground running to save their 2017-18 season.
