Tottenham fans have taken to Twitter after Maksim Paskotši was named in Estonia’s starting XI in last night’s clash against the Czech Republic.
Amazingly, the Tottenham academy graduate is just 18 years of age, and hasn’t even started a senior game at club level yet!
In fact, he’s only made 14 appearances for Tottenham’s Under-18 side.
Impressively, he’s scored five goals in those 14 outings, despite being a centre-back.
In that respect, his progress has been incredible since he arrived in north London from FC Flora Tallinn last year.
Sadly, Estonia lost 6-2 as West Ham’s Tomáš Souček ran riot with a hat-trick.
However, Paskotši didn’t let himself down, and was actually Estonia’s best defender on the night as far as SofaScore are concerned.

The Spurs teenager received a 6.0 match rating, which was the highest of any Estonian defender.
He was his nation’s third-highest ranked player from the game, as Markus Poom and Rauno Alliku received 6.4 and 6.1 ratings respectively.
Hopefully, Paskotši can remain involved with Estonia’s first-team set-up, as that would surely do wonders for his development.

It’s all well and good playing against talented academy players.
However, coming up against the likes of Souček is a different animal all together, but one that should make him more comfortable against top-class opponents.
Let’s see how the Tottenham fans on Twitter reacted to Paskotši’s start…
