Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino addressed the media yesterday, in the aftermath of his side’s hard-fought 1-0 win away at Crystal Palace, and shared his excitement at the prospect of moving into their new stadium, after going to see the magnificent arena this week, as quoted by Football.London.

Spurs were supposed to move into their new home at the start of this season, but unforeseen circumstances have delayed their moving in date, with January 2019 now being set as the revised date.

Tottenham have made an impressive start to their Premier League campaign – their best ever since the inauguration season in 1992, and currently sit in fourth spot in the table, having taken 27 points from their opening 12 league outings.

Pochettino addressed the media after his side’s win over Palace yesterday, and expressed his excitement, having gone to see the club’s news stadium this week, as quoted by Football.London:

“We were stunned. You expect that you are going to find a good, nice stadium but when I saw the stadium it is like ‘Wow’. Your face, it is difficult to talk because it is a beautiful, amazing…I think will be an amazing place to enjoy football for our players and fans. I am a little bit jealous of our players because to play and be in a changing room like this or be in a place like this it is amazing, massive. I would like to be 20 and be a player that Tottenham offer a contract to play because it will be amazing. Again I say to our fans patience because it is going to be the best stadium in Europe.”

Tottenham must focus on their games ahead, though, rather than moving into their new stadium, with a match against Maurizio Sarri’s Chelsea at Wembley next up on the horizon.
