Tottenham fans have taken to Twitter to react after the Daily Mail revealed something that José Mourinho did to Toby Alderweireld.
According to the Daily Mail‘s special report, Mourinho pleaded with the 32-year-old to leave his newborn baby and his wife to play against Aston Villa in February 2020.
Alderweireld scored in a 3-2 win against the Villans.
However, he was then dropped by the 58-year-old for a game against Wolves, due to his display in the 2-1 defeat to Chelsea.
Judging by the responses below, some Tottenham fans are absolutely stunned by this, and rightly so.
Mourinho’s man-management in recent years has been simply baffling.

For Alderweireld to even play against Villa, when he was entitled to his paternity leave, should see him commended.
Additionally, the £11.4 million man even scored in the game, so he should’ve earned extra praise from his manager.
So, to do that for Mourinho, only to be dropped after one indifferent display – which was far from a complete nightmare, we should note – is truly unfair.

First it was Juan Mata at Chelsea, Luke Shaw and Paul Pogba at Manchester United, then Dele Alli at Tottenham.
Mourinho just hasn’t been able to avoid dressing room drama in the past decade – his man-management skills are questionable, to say the least.
Let’s see what the Tottenham fans have been saying about the Daily Mail‘s revelation…
