England supporters praised Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish for his ‘class’ actions for a young Tottenham fan on Sunday.
Even though the Three Lions suffered penalty heartache, the Villa man still had time to give his boots and take a picture with a young Spurs fan.
Super_ollyt posted on his Instagram account that Grealish ‘took time with photos’ with his son, Oliver, and then asked whether he wanted his boots.
This has been widely praised by supporters, as they lauded Grealish for his amazing gesture.
For some, it seems as though their viewpoint or previous thoughts on Grealish are changing.
A lot of the England players, both on and off the field, did themselves proud at Euro 2020.
And a lot of their reputations have gone through the roof, whether it’s the performances of Kalvin Phillips or Declan Rice.
Or the actions of Grealish for a young supporter, despite only half an hour before having to be part of such a gut-wrenching final defeat to Italy.
Grealish was, no doubt, under-used by Gareth Southgate during this tournament.
And that question of ‘what if’ will always cloud over Wembley as England still wait to end their decades and decades of hurt in trying to win a major trophy.
One thing is for sure, Grealish did become a bit of a fan favourite at the Euros, as fans praised him for helping out a young fan in such a fashion.
