Leeds United fans are starting to believe that they have got a steal off Arsenal by nabbing Sam Greenwood in the summer.

Arsenal opted to allow Greenwood to leave the Emirates Stadium and join Leeds for a not insignificant fee in the summer.

At the time it showed a significant amount of faith in the teenager, who had never made a senior appearance before, from Leeds.

However, Victor Orta’s faith in the striker is already showing signs that it could pay off.

Greenwood has hit goals aplenty for Leeds’ under-23 side, who have dominated their division this term.

The youngster was certainly in starring form yesterday, as Leeds won 5-0 against West Bromwich Albion’s development squad.

Greenwood found the back of the net with a simply amazing long-range free-kick.

And Leeds fans now feel that Mikel Arteta and Arsenal will regret selling such a prospect in time.

Greenwood is yet to make his senior debut for Leeds, but Marcelo Bielsa has spoken highly of him before, and he may well be given a first-team chance before the end of this term, if he can keep up his current standards.
