Liverpool’s on loan goalkeeper Pepe Reina and former star Dirk Kuyt were certainly impressed with Liverpool’s Merseyside Derby win.
When players depart on loan, especially in the circumstances Pepe Reina did – many expected his ties with Liverpool to be all but cut, especially with his only comments in the media usually being to talk up a possible move to Barcelona.
But once a Red, always a Red, as Pepe Reina demonstrated via Twitter during their 4-0 win.
On loan at Napoli, it would not be a surprise if he was watching the game alongside former Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez.
In 17 games for Liverpool against Everton, Reina tasted defeat on just three occasions. Clearly he loved every minute of last night, and his view was echoed by former teammate Dirk Kuyt.
