Everton fans have taken to Twitter to react after Fabrizio Romano revealed that Abdoulaye Doucoure will be back from injury earlier than expected.
What’s the story?
Well, this is huge news for Everton and Rafa Benitez.
The £20m man suffered a stress response in a bone in his foot during the 1-0 defeat to West Ham, and he looked set to be out for a while.
However, Romano has now revealed that Doucoure will be back in around four-and-a-half weeks, which is massive news for the Toffees.
The £75,000-a-week man is absolutely pivotal to Everton.
So far this season, Doucoure has scored two goals while also providing four assists, in just eight Premier League appearances.
The 28-year-old is, quite simply, on fire, and can’t come back soon enough for Everton.
Everton must find proper backup for Abdoulaye Doucoure

In their first Premier League game without Doucoure, Everton completely fell apart – he is the glue that holds the side together.
Doucoure’s former side Watford, of all teams, scored five goals at Goodison Park last time out without the Frenchman bossing things in midfield.
It was quite alarming to see how reliant the Toffees are on their No.16, and Marcel Brands must take note of that.

The likes of Tom Davies, Fabian Delph and Jean-Philippe Gbamin cannot replicate what Doucoure brings to the side, and that must be addressed.
Of course, it will be tough to find a player with a similar skillset to Doucoure, although Everton cannot go on while being this dependant on one player.
For now, let’s see what the Everton fans have been saying after Romano posted the encouraging update…
