Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter in furious fashion after Gareth Bale appeared to mock Loris Karius in Tottenham’s training session.

The footage shows Ben Davies blasting the ball at Heung-min Son as Bale, Eric Dier and others watch on.

After Son attempts to catch the ball and drops it, somebody – who sounds like the on-loan Real Madrid forward – shouts ‘Karius’ at the South Korean.

Of course, it almost goes without saying that the Tottenham players are mocking the German’s disastrous display in the 2019 Champions League final.

In that showpiece event in Kiev, Bale netted two goals past the man currently on loan at Union Berlin.

One of which was an incredible bicycle kick, while another was a hopeful long-shot which Karius spilled into his own net.

In our view, not many Liverpool fans will be able to defend the former Mainz 05 glovesman.

However, it was undoubtedly a match which seriously affected Karius, both career-wise and, presumably, from a mental aspect too.

In that respect, while he’s just having a laugh in training, Bale should be mindful that he’s being filmed and should perhaps be a bit more respectful.

Nevertheless, let’s see what the Liverpool fans on Twitter have been saying about it…
