Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to react after the club announced that Kostas Tsimikas had won two awards in his homeland of Greece.

The left-back was named the PSAP Greek Football of the Year, while he was also included in the PSAP Team of the Year following a fine season with Olympiacos.

Tsimikas helped Olympiacos win the Greek Super League, and also the Greek Cup while racking up seven assists in 46 appearances.

The 24-year-old also helped his former side reach the Europa League Round of 16, where they were narrowly defeated by Wolves.

His fine form saw him land an £11.75 million move to Liverpool, where he has struggled for game time under Jurgen Klopp.

So far this season, Tsimikas has only made five appearances in all competitions, with just one of those coming in the Premier League.

Of course, there a few players in Europe who would start ahead of Andy Robertson, but Klopp hasn’t rotated enough in that department.

Nevertheless, the Greece international’s achievements still stand, and he is a worthy winner of both awards.
