Everton fans have taken to Twitter to react after Simon Jordon criticised a number of the club’s players on talkSPORT, but with good reason.
Jordan claims that Everton have spent large sums on a number of players who wouldn’t interest any other top six side in the Premier League.
The likes of Alex Iwobi and Gylfi Sigurdsson are name-dropped, while Jordan also criticised ‘the centre-back signings’ – presumably Yerry Mina and Micheal Keane.
As some Everton fans below state, it is hard to disagree.
The Toffees have wasted a lot of money on players who aren’t necessarily bad footballers, but aren’t good enough to propel the club forward.

As aforesaid, they are also not attractive assets to other leading sides in the Premier League, so they do not carry much resale value.
In our view, the transfer policy at Goodison Park must change.
For every Lucas Digne, there’s a Morgan Schneiderlin and Yannick Bolasie.

For every Abdoulaye Doucoure, there’s an Oumar Niasse.
In our view, Marcel Brands and Carlo Ancelotti must rethink the club’s transfer policy – there are far too many failures, and not enough success stories.
Let’s see what the Everton fans on Twitter said about Jordan’s comments…
