Some Aston Villa fans on social media have been reacting after hearing Wesley Moraes played 45 minutes in a behind closed doors friendly.
The Villans faced off against West Brom at Bodymoor Heath on Friday, and Wesley appeared in a claret and blue kit for the first time in almost 15 months.
Wesley went down with an injury last year during a game against Burnley, and it’s been an incredibly long road to recovery.
We’ve been getting small bits of information about Wesley’s recovery drip-fed to us for months at this point, but now it seems as though he truly is on the verge of a return to action.
With the international break ongoing, Wesley will have another week to ready himself before Villa’s next game against Fulham, and while he won’t be match fit, it seems as though he could be in contention for a spot on the bench for that one.
Fingers crossed we see the Brazilian back fit and firing in the Premier League very soon.
